Scott Meriwether, P.E.
Scott worked both in the field with a mechanical contracting firm and as a CAD drafter while pursuing his formal education in mechanical engineering. His field experience has given him the ability to see a systems practical application and assessment during the design process, which is a valuable perspective for our clients. Scott received his BSME from Pensacola Christian College in 1996. He has over 20 years of engineering experience with an extensive background in both HVAC and Electrical systems. Scott began his engineering career as a Mechanical Engineer. He then moved into a Senior Project Manager position and eventually became a Managing Principal while at Kamm Consulting before co-founding Promus in August 2009. Scott enjoys spending time with his family and is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church of Smyrna, GA, where he is a member of the choir. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially in the Fall.

Darin Frick, P.E.
Darin has over 20 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Darin received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pensacola Christian College in 1996. He has an extensive background in both the HVAC and electrical fields which provides a single source for client consultation and interaction. Darin started his engineering career as an HVAC designer for a contracting firm and later moved into HVAC sales. His sales experience has helped him develop needs assessment skills valuable to our clients. He began working for Kamm Consulting in 1997 as a Mechanical Designer and moved into a Senior Project Manager role in 1998. In 2006 he moved to Atlanta and became a Managing Principal for Kamm Consulting before co-founding Promus, Inc. in 2009. His client focus and role as client advocate throughout the project cycle add immeasurable value to the overall solution. Darin enjoys golfing and hunting, among other sports. He also enjoys traveling with his two sons for hunting trips and the occasional white water rafting trip. Darin is an active member of First Redeemer Church in Alpharetta, GA where he plays the cello for his church orchestra.

George received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Technical Science in Novi Sad, Serbia in 1997. George has over 15 years of engineering experience in mechanical and plumbing systems. He began his career working with a mechanical contracting firm and moved into a Senior Mechanical Designer position before joining Promus in September 2011. George is a highly-motivated problem-solver, always looking to expand his knowledge base, abilities, and usefulness. During his time away from the office George enjoys spending time with his family and playing basketball and baseball. He also coaches a local recreational league for his town.
Rob Booth, P.E.
Vice President of Utility Design
Rob received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2005. Rob has more than 14 years of engineering experience in electrical protection and control systems. He began as an electrical engineer with Factory Automation Systems in Atlanta, GA. He then became a Field Test Engineer with Georgia Power Company and later became a Senior Design Engineer with Southern Company Services. He joined Promus in April 2016. Rob is a family man, enjoying sports, outdoors, movies and games with his wife and 6 children. He is involved at Calvary Baptist Church in teaching the pre-school choir and a children’s Sunday school class. Playing basketball and running are some good stress-relieving hobbies, as well as the occasional hunting or hiking trip. Ham radio and home improvement are squeezed in from time to time, along with a good deal of reading.
Senior Electrical Designer
Ted has over 17 years of engineering design experience in electrical systems in addition to over 13 years of field experience in electrical contracting. After receiving his certification as an electrician from Lyons Technical Institute, he began his career working as a field electrician in New Jersey and eventually acquiring his NJ State Electrical Contracting License. After relocating to Florida, where he was employed by a commercial electrical contracting firm as a project foreman, he decided to take his experience to the engineering office. Ted joined Promus in August 2012. His field experience has given him the ability to see a system’s practical application and assessment during the design process, which is a valuable perspective for our clients. During his time away from the office, Ted likes spending it with his wife and three children. They enjoy traveling for family functions and vacations. Ted also enjoys the outdoors, biking and music.
Stephen Edwards, EIT
Stephen received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bob Jones University in 2013. He joined Promus in October 2013. Stephen is an active member at Victory Baptist Church, loves the Florida Gators, coaching high school basketball at his alma mater in Jacksonville, FL, and passing time with wood working projects!
Kurt Burrell, EIT
Kurt received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pensacola Christian College in 2014 and joined Promus in June 2014. Kurt enjoys his work and loves being with his family throughout the day. Much of his time is spent serving at West Florida Baptist church in the choir and children’s ministries. His hobbies include tennis, piggyback rides, and beard-grooming.
Ryan is a graduate of Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Ryan joined Promus in June 2015. Ryan enjoys playing and watching just about any sport. He likes to fill his weekends with camping, shooting, snowboarding, eating, woodworking, or helping his dad on the farm.
O’Neil joined Promus in February 2016. He was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after 9 years of service. O’Neil received an Associate of Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting from ITT Technical Institute in 2001 and worked as a draftsman primarily in architectural drafting. O’Neil has been married for 25 years and has 4 children and one daughter-in-law. He joined the US Navy during the first Gulf War where he spent nine years as an aircraft structural mechanic. He has been an active member for 23 years at Faith Ministries Church in Orange Park, Florida where he volunteers for the Audio Visual Team. He enjoys oil painting and fishing in his free time.
Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pensacola Christian College in 2014 and joined Promus in August 2017. He is excited to bring his experience in commissioning, controls, and facility management. Brandon enjoys traveling with his wife, backpacking in the Shenandoah mountains, and home improvement. He loves to learn and is always up for a challenge.
Caleb Kimbrough, EIT
Electrical Engineer in Training
Caleb earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 2006 from Kennesaw State University, and commissioned in the Marine Corps as an Artillery Officer. After spending 4 years in active service and deploying to Afghanistan, he spent time in the reserves and ran a carpentry business, while pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, also from Kennesaw State.
He has spent the last 4 and a half years as a Systems Engineer at Viasat in Duluth, Georgia, most recently as the Senior Systems Engineer for development of a commercial airborne satellite communications antenna. While at Viasat, he earned his Masters of Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power Systems from Georgia Institute of Technology. Engineering has become a true passion, and he enjoys learning new things every day, coming up with innovative solutions, and helping others.
Caleb enjoys spending time with his wife and six children, backpacking, hunting, and working on carpentry and leather projects. He also enjoys working with the children’s ministry at Calvary Baptist Church, teaching on Wednesdays and Sunday mornings. Some of his favorite things are being outdoors with his children, drinking coffee with friends, playing the guitar, and working on projects with his wife.
Connor joined Promus in September 2015. Connor is currently pursuing a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Liberty University. Connor brings his ability to innovate and adapt to Promus by developing new business technologies which allow Promus to maximize the work from home concept. He serves Promus in both the Electrical department as well as providing Technical support to the team. Stewardship is a core tenant of Connor’s principles. He aims to serve well both at work and at home. Connor enjoys any activity if it is with friends, family, or his dog.
Justin received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University in 2005 and an AutoCAD Certified User Diploma from Ashworth College in 2018. Justin has more than 8 years of engineering experience in manufacturing process improvement and project management. He began as an process engineer with Pella Corporation in Columbia, SC. He then became a Project Engineer and Project manager with RSI Home Products. He joined Promus in July 2018. Justin is family oriented and enjoys video games, sports and touring as a professional disc golf competitor.
Christina is a graduate of Bob Jones University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She joined Promus in June 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis and playing board games. Christina is an active member of Palmetto Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. She enjoys the ability to work from home and take care of her family.
